
STEPS TO FILL OUT FAFSA
- First you will need to apply for your PIN number
- Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Click on Step 1 Before Beginning a FAFSA
- Read information then click on Apply for a PIN now!
- Click on www.pin.ed.gov to link to the Federal Student Aid PIN website
- Click on Apply for a PIN
- The PIN Application Process consists of 3 steps:
- Step 1: Enter Personal Information
- Step 2: Submit Your PIN Application
- Step 3: Receive Your PIN
- Print your confirmation page for your records.
- You PIN number will be e-mailed to you within 3-5 business days
Fill out FAFSA

Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Under Step 2 Filling Out a FAFSA click on Fill Out Your FAFSA
- Select the appropriate Award Year from the drop down menu
- Click Next
- Continue to complete your online form; providing your PIN number and information from your appropriate tax return and W-2’s
Approximately two to four weeks after you submit your FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the U. S. Department of Education that summarizes the data you reported on the FAFSA. Review your SAR for accuracy. If corrections are needed, use your PIN to make them on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Keep the SAR for your records
Retain copies of your completed FAFSA, corrections you make to your FAFSA, and all IRS tax forms. Applicants for federal aid may be required to submit last year’s tax forms for verification.
