Financial Aid

At Brown Aveda Institute, we believe every student should be able to obtain an education, regardless of financial status.

To make this possible, our Financial Aid Office assists students in locating sources of financial aid, filling out the necessary forms and understanding basic principles of money management.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

The basic concept of financial aid is the determination of financial need. Financial need is defined as the difference between total school costs and the portion of the costs that can be expected to be met by a parental and/or student contributions.

FAFSA website (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa School Code for both Campuses = 036263
Entrance Counseling Requirement https://studentaid.gov/entrance-counseling/ Required to be completed by the student if they decide to borrow Stafford Loan(s). Educates the student on the terms and conditions of their loan as well as their rights and responsibilities.
Master Promissory Note (MPN) https://studentaid.gov/mpn/ Required to be completed by the student if they decide to borrow Stafford Loan(s). It is a legal document in which the student promises to repay their loan(s) and any accrued interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education. It also explains the terms and conditions of the loan(s)
Exit Counseling Requirement https://studentaid.gov/exit-counseling/ Required to be completed by the student when they leave school or drop below half-time enrollment. The purpose of exit counseling is to educate the student on their student loan obligations and to prepare them for repayment.
